Amidst the nation’s new wave of development, architecture increasingly plays a vital role in shaping urban landscapes, the quality of living spaces, and the cultural identity of each region. In this context, the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Association of Architects (Term 2026-2031) marks a significant milestone for architects nationwide. The Congress gathers 500 outstanding architects alongside approximately 300 guest delegates, including representatives of Party and State leaders, ministries, sectors, international organizations, enterprises, and media agencies.

Driven by the motto “Solidarity – Democracy – Innovation – Creativity – Development,” the Congress aims to establish new directions for Vietnamese architecture in an era where science and technology, digital transformation, international integration, and sustainable development are profoundly impacting the architectural field.

RICH IN IDENTITY, STRONG IN MODERNITY, FIRM IN INTEGRATION

Reflecting on the 10th term, the Vietnam Association of Architects has intensified its efforts in creative practice, research, social critique, professional training, and international integration, while actively contributing to architectural development orientations up to 2030 with a vision toward 2050. These initiatives demonstrate the expanding role of architecture—from the physical forms of buildings to the quality of living environments, communities, and adaptability to the changing times.

Stepping into the 11th term, a prominent orientation is to build an architectural foundation that is “Rich in Identity, Strong in Modernity, and Firm in Integration.” Identity is regarded as the cornerstone, whereas technology, digital transformation, AI, BIM, GIS, and green, sustainable architectural trends serve as the driving forces to boost creativity and enhance professional capacity.
