Architecture and Sustainable Development – The Journey to Net Zero

Net Zero and Sustainable Architecture: A Vision for the Future

On the morning of August 17, 2024, at the Viet Y Song Cong Tile Factory in Thai Nguyen, VIET Y Tile collaborated with Ashui Vietnam Joint Stock Company and the Thai Nguyen Architects Association to hold a seminar on green architectural solutions aimed at achieving the Net Zero goal.

The seminar featured leaders from Grand Home Investment Group, specialists, managers, businesses, and architectural associations sharing solutions to reduce emissions through the use of green materials—a significant step in the journey toward sustainable development.

What Does Net Zero Mean in Construction?

Net Zero is a balanced state between greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere and those removed. To achieve Net Zero, the construction industry needs to reduce CO2 emissions from building projects and construction materials while offsetting emissions through carbon capture and storage.

Green Materials: The Key to a Sustainable Construction Industry

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Viet Ha, Chairman of ASHUI Vietnam, emphasized that the journey toward Net Zero is lengthy and complex, but with the collaboration between architects and material manufacturers, this goal is entirely achievable. The creativity and sustainable mindset of architects, combined with innovative material solutions, are essential to unlocking a green future for the construction industry.

Through the seminar, VIET Y Tile reaffirmed its role as a manufacturer committed to environmental and human well-being in its operations. By leveraging advancements in information technology and new technologies, the company reduces dependency on manual labor and optimizes resource use.

This event demonstrates the collaboration among architects, manufacturers, and businesses, united in the pursuit of Net Zero by 2050. This challenging yet meaningful goal contributes to environmental protection and builds a sustainable future for humanity.
